Gil Hodges Community Garden - Park Slope
The Gil Hodges Community Garden, an interesting mix of NYC old and new, recently reopened in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn. The space at Carroll Street and Denton Place was renovated with funds from NYRP (New York Restoration Project) a non-profit started by Bette Midler to save and refurbish community gardens in NYC.

Art Everywhere & Anywhere!
One of the best things about living in NYC is the amount and variety of public art in public spaces. Walk anywhere and if you look carefully (sometimes it's right in your face!) you'll see that someone with an idea or message or distinctive point of view has figured out a clever, imaginative and inventive way to communicate it.
