WTC Site ~ 9 1/2 Years Later

We Landed in the Hudson?

We heard lots of sirens again. Even if we hadn't lived through September 11th, those sounds raise your anxiety level. A plane is in the river. A small plane, right? No, a big passenger plane. From where, where was it going? etc. etc. etc. but while I was watching the miracle play out on television, it became clear that many, many people in NYC, like they did on September 11th, rushed to the danger with the specific job and or desire to help save lives. You gotta love this place!

Mumbai

The recent terrorist attacks on the city of Mumbai have been compared to September 11th. I hope that Mumbaikers discover what I did...that shared tragedy really does bring people together. NYC became a kinder, gentler place as a result of the 9/11 experience, with people less distant from and more solicitous of  each other.
