Hurricane Sandy

"Tough times don't always build character but they usually do reveal it. Thanks to all who are lifting themselves by lifting others."

tweet by Cory Booker (Mayor of Newark, NJ)

My sentiments exactly!

We Landed in the Hudson?

We heard lots of sirens again. Even if we hadn't lived through September 11th, those sounds raise your anxiety level. A plane is in the river. A small plane, right? No, a big passenger plane. From where, where was it going? etc. etc. etc. but while I was watching the miracle play out on television, it became clear that many, many people in NYC, like they did on September 11th, rushed to the danger with the specific job and or desire to help save lives. You gotta love this place!
